Undersized goodman coil?
Hi guys, I bought a new 2.5 ton goodman split ac and gas system and received it today. Upon inspection of the goods I noticed that the model number on the coil indicates that its a 2 ton coil. The condensing unit is a 2.5 ton so thats good. I'm thinking I got an undersized coil, what do you guys think? Here are the model numbers coil: CAPF1824A6 rev: BA, condensing unit: GSX130301BA. Are you guys thinking the company saved themselves 50 dollars and sent me the wrong coil?

Yeaaahh...i did buy online..shame on me. Wholesaler was closed by the time I had realized. I mean I've seen oversized coils before but I'm a bit rusty after leaving hvac field for electrical work. I been reading the goodman website on specs and usage..and I'm thinking that coil is only listed for 1.5 to 2 tons.

Ha ha, trying to save money and look what happens.
Wish Goodman and Goodman distributors would stop this crap. Make sure you take pictures after you install it. I need a good laugh.

If it makes ya feel better, you aren't the only one it's ever happened to. You won't be the last either. Good Luck with it.

no warranty either...what's scarier than a lowly Gooman WITHOUT a warranty?
