When you say you checked all your p traps... you mean you poured water down them all? Did you do the same with all your floor drains? That's one of the most common sources I've found.
I work at a small box factory and we are having a problem with a foul smell. It is at its worst when we return on Monday morning after having the HVAC shut completely off all weekend. As the week goes on the smell seems to weaken each day. We cannot find a specific spot where the smell seems to come from it just seems to be all around the office area. At first we thought it might be a plumbing gas problem but we have checked all our p traps and everything there seems in order so we are looking now into the HVAC systems. Has anyone ever experienced any problems like this. Maybe a bad funk in the condensation collection tray? Any advice would be appreciated.

You got a bum living in your ductwork? How about a dead animal somewheres? For as small as they are, mice can stink up a place when dead.
Not as lean, not as mean, but I'm still a hardcore, ass-kicking, hard charging Marine! Oohrah!
A "foul smell " is kind of vague....describe.
Yes we checked all the p traps and poured water down all of them. No it is not a dead animal, I have smelt a lot of dead things and this is not what it is. O my that did not sound good., hehe. We thought sewer gas for a long time but we have checked every hole plugged every hole and there has been no change on Monday morning always the same foul smell. And thank you for your replies.
It is hard to describe but very close to what I have smelt from sewer gas before. I was just wondering if anyone had ever ran into this type of problem with and HVAC system and duct work, like extreme condensation or something in the unit it self becoming smelly after being shut down for a weekend. O only happens during the summer time also..the last two summers.
Okay. If you're sure you've found EVERY floor drain.... Do you have a standard domestic hot water heater? Sometimes, if the anode has been totally eaten away, the water pipes will start to have issues and odors can result from that. Might be worth having a plumber check it.
Another thought... Is your HVAC unit on the roof? If there's a vent nearby, venting methane gas, that gas could be pulled into the building....
Oh wait. You said it was worse after the weekend when stuff was shut down.
Nevermind.
Still thinking.
Way vague stab in the dark here.
Summer time only? I'm guessing A/C problem. Perhaps the coil is dirty enough that water is blowing off of it and into the duct system. During the week the fan moves enough air to keep it dry, but over the weekend it has time to sit in the duct's and fester causing the problems.
Just a random guess.

Have you tried replacing the migrant workers with US citizens?
Maby the dirty sock smile microrg. growing on the evp. coil dark and wet has time to mulitipy during weekends.
Box factory?
Cardboard?
I have seen cardboard dust foul systems.
Waddya mean don't thaw out the frig with a knive?
Could be foul foot syndrome or a co-worker with a rotten ass.
Could be many things....OP has to get off his azz and look for something and respond to what he has found!
