I'm working on a scotsman icemaker and the tech's before me replaced all the controls with new controls (timer motor, finish relay)Originally posted by redwolf
If I haven't been servicing the machine usually the first thing I'll do is clean it.
but I've decided it's the liquid line solenoid stuck closed.
Unit runs fine in harvest but when freeze cycle starts unit pumps down and shuts off, same thing in harvest cycle when hot gas bypass wire removed from coil.
I'll have the solenoid and the filter/dryer in Monday.
My question is:
what is the best way to clean the resevoir and evaporator?
I found some calcium deposit on the evaporator and some sand in resevoir.
I'm just looking for the best general procedure, o yeah this is a scotsman model cms1002re.
