    3 horizontal parallel lines-electric symbol

    3 horizontal parallel lines, 2nd line has solid triangle in middle.Seen an electrical symbol on TSSA exam. What does this represent?

    Still doesn't match any wild leg sybmol I have ever seen .I thounght it might be describing delta but the OP said it is a solid triangle....isolated?

    After looking at one of my lab manuals, I think I may be wrong and have to retract my guess. The 3-way switch is similar but the arrow is drawn upwards from the middle line in the manual. However, I have been told that some companies/institutions will draw symbols a bit differently than the standards.
