    HELP..mosquitos / neighbors pool

Bought our house almost 2 yrs ago. Last year I called dept of health and got no results. Our neighbor behind our house about 200ft back has a built in pool with a diving board. Real nice except it hasnt been maintained or covered in yrs. Its green and mold all over. And around the pool about 40ft each way is a jungle about 6ft high. Total mess over there. We have a fence so seeing it isnt an issue. Nobody ever answers the door but I always see this old lady sweepin on her doorway to her patio. Thought about heaving some open gallons of bleach in there, but this pool gotta be atleast 8ft deep. I would need a truck load of bleach. Is there anyone I can call?

If your alderman has some guts this might be an avenue. Ours is great, we had a similar situation with an abandoned disgusting hot tub 2 doors down. One call- GONE!

    A neighborhood petition might help.
Good luck - You may make some enemies.

Call your zoning inspector, he'll light a fire under the health department

And, email some pics to them, if possible.

You could throw one of these from your side of the fence. Just a couple will do the job for a few weeks. No need to call the law.

Not many bats in NJ, only 2 caves in the whole state.
Karst means cave. So, I search for caves.

throw salt in it, salt water kills the larva
The way we build has a greater impact on our comfort, energy consumption and IAQ than any HVAC system we install.

Probably a longer lasting remedy than bleach. Bleach would be gone in a week or so from evaporation...IF you opt for being a DIYer.

A couple Purple Martin bird houses would do the trick.
