All of my guys carry car wax in thier trucks and use it on every furnace, boiler or condensor that they work on.

I'm not telling any of my close friends about this

Skidder, you ain't supposed to wax uranus. I'm almost afraid to ask how you got that handle
It may be a pain but waxing the exposed metal on the condenser sure make a big difference in the long run. It also makes them look real nice.
Like a new car, at first ya keep it real nice and spotless but after awhile ya don't give a crap.

You're kidding, yes? I heard an old timer I use to work with mention that. But I assumed it was one of the fairy tales they tell rookies to scare them straight.Originally posted by hal parker

At times the company I work for barely gives you time to do the job right, much less do the "wax on wax off" thing to anything!
Now the question is... what kind of wax do you use? Personally after using Zaino on my last car I'd never go back to any other kind of wax. But that stuff is kinda spendy to be using on these kinda things (unless it's your own of course).
Ah yes, Zaino - amazing - those bros. produce an amazing product. I used to use it on a sports car I had. The liquid look it produced on the black was amazing...bar none the best I used.
For the Central AC, it gets run of the mill Meguires Cleaner Wax...if it is good enough for the Jeep it's good enough for the York... (From some things I read, I think Turtle Wax would be more appropriate for a York...)
I have truly lost my mind, at the very moment I even contemplate waxing my own or any one else's condenser.
A bottle of Simple Green and a roll of those blue disposable shop rags is good enough, geeez.
There are 3 ways to do anything in life; Good, Fast, Slow: You can pick any 2.
You're kidding, right? I don't even wash my van or truck, much less wax a condenser. Geesh
