Hmm retrofitting 410 handler to run on 22

I have a bad inside coil on a R22 3 ton rooftop heat pump. The customer wants to only replace the handler and does not want to spring for a new matched system.
Can a new R410 coil for inside be retrofitted to run on 22, Has anybody successfully done this without royal pain??

    Rooftop Heatpump, matched system?

I am confused, is this a rooftop system or a split system?

If it is a split system then you should still be able to get an evap coil for it.
If it is a rooftop contained system then you should replace with exact manufacturer coil in my opinion.

You can even have a coil made by a contractor like Coil Company, Darby-Colwyn, PA 19023.

I will say that it can be done . As long as you put a 22 TXV on it you will be ok. I took a R-22 coil And turned it into a 410A system. But I wasn't worried about any ratings since this was for my home.

It takes three people to do anything around here. Two do the work, one explains to the crowd of people who showed up when they seen smoke and flames.

This is split unit-condenser on roof- not package wmagnin, Thanks Boys I 'll go ahead and put 22 txv on the Evap coil. 22 coils harder to get now!
