Vacation Setting on T-Stat. Need Some Guidance
Live in Ms will be gone for a week.
Just wanting to keep humidity down but not wanting to waste energy while we're gone.
Per you guy's advice, all new windows, warm/cool air leakage is plugged, new Amana 18 SEER HP.
Lord knows we'll spending enough in Orlando so would like to keep the electricity bill down for home.
What do you guys usually set your t-stat when you're vacationing or vacation mode.
Thanx ahead

I have whole house dehumidifier in Cape Coral. I turned off the a/c and set the dehumidifier at 50%RH. The home is runng 80-85^F and 50%RH. Been running like that for a a couple months now. Utility very low.
Without the dehumidifier depends on how cool and wet it is outside??
Regards TBBear Rules: Keep our home <50% RH summer, controls mites/mold and very comfortable.
Provide 60-100 cfm of fresh air when occupied to purge indoor pollutants and keep window dry during cold weather. T-stat setup/setback +8 hrs. saves energy
Use +Merv 10 air filter. -Don't forget the "Golden Rule"

If it has cool to dehumidify. You can use that.
During milder outdoor temps though. It won't be enough to maintain less then 60%RH, if you have the temp set up high.
