    Blown-in Insulation

    We insulate an HVAC box with 1/2" black foam insulation with adhesive backer as shown in the attached photo. Do you know if a blown-in insulation would serve as an effective cheaper alternative?

    do you mean a sprayed on insulation. what you've got looks good!

    Sprayed on is what I was thinking. I'm trying to cost-reduce the unit, and I was thinking spray-on may be cheaper from a material standpoint and take less time and effort to apply. Maybe there's a better idea.
