Freezer problem
I replaced a condensing unit on a walk in freezer about a week ago, and it is not working right, and it is kicking my butt. The old condensor's compressor number was AHA2465ZXB, and the compressor on the new condensing unit is AWA2460ZXD. Just a little under the capacity of the old compressor, but not enough that is would be making this kind of trouble. When we start up this unit the head pressure will go up to 425# which scares me and does not seem right. I have never saw that before on a unit even after a long defrost or hot pull down. After ir runs a little while, the head pressure drops back down to 330# which is right for the 125* condensing temperature.(R404A) the suction pressure stays up around 30-35# with a evaporating temp of 0*-5*F, and will not pull the box down below about 20*F. The TXV is BFSE-A-Z. I have 7-12* super heat at the suction line leaving the evaporator, and only about 3* of subcooling. The evaporator is Russell AE 26-92B which is good for 8300-9300 Btu/h. This is not an old problem. the freezer was working correctly until the compressor locked up on the old condensing unit I believe because of a bad condenser fan motor and an auto reset head preesure swith that let it keep cooking. Any input would help me out. thanks in advance.
I am heading back up there today qhich is about 40 miles north of here, I will take my lap top and hopefully get some wifi from someone else's network, or on my phone to be able to see if anyone has posted something for me.
