    I hope that's not a full size B-ball .

Did you get him to bite on that or did you just see it while lookin' for other fishies?

Not everyday you can get a pic of something like that.

Really man.....is that a full size ball?

I saw where the air goes in and it looks like a full size ball to me, that would mean that is one monster fish. The biggest I've seen is 27lbs., the biggest I've caught was 13.5lbs. with a trusty Zebco 22 .

I'm sure the bigger catfish taste terrible. 1- 1.5 #'s is an ideal weight for good flavor.

I got those pics in an email from a friend so I dont know where it was from. I guess someone deflated the ball and saved the fish.

    found the story:

This was a pretty interesting story from The Sunday Wichita Eagle
    > > Newspaper a couple of weeks ago. Was in a housing development around
    > 119th
    > > st. South and Maple. Anyhow a resident in the area saw a ball bouncing
    > > around kind of strange like in the developments pond and when he went
    to
    > > investigate, it was a flathead catfish who had obviously tried to
    swallow
    > > a child's basketball which became stuck in its mouth. The fish was
    > totally
    > > exhausted from trying to dive but unable to because the ball would
    always
    > > bring him back up to the surface. The resident tried numerous times to
    > get
    > > the ball out but was unsuccessful. He finally had his wife cut the
    ball
    > in
    > > order to deflate the ball and release the catfish.

Badboy, in the 1st pic you posted, are them Australian cat fish?

    *rimshot*

    I'm here all week folks!

Pretty cool pix though, I've never caught any kind of fish that big, but something tells me it'd get your heart racing for sure.
