One thing that often surprises me with IAQ issues, is how most large industry just dis-regards OSHA Reg's and dont realize the serious consequences.

One example of this is in Las Vegas at minimum they are supposed to zone and do the area of any re-modeled area or often when restaurants change over and re-model,, and if there is a lot of airborne matter, then they are supposed to do the entire building.

In the last 10 years I have only gotten one casino to do the entire building, and it was over $300,000 for the job so I can see why lots dont want to , but most do not even do the zone around where they have remodeled.

I guess the only way to stress the importance of these codes and regulations is going to be when there are serious issues. I would hope some of the operations people of public places would read the OSHA requirements, as if not it wont be pretty when the axxx comes down.

We recently had it here where Harahs was dis-regarding lots of OSHA issues, and I think they fired the entire department and got fined several million from the State, Osha, etc...

Food for thought on why IAQ is not just important for health, but for keeping your business in line with regulations as well..
