    Question

Carrier 06E compressors with two unloaders. I need the to know how to set both unloaders. Another thing is that this compressor runs unloaded but when it goes to loaded condition the amperage goes to 76 amps and tripped the compressor breaker. Why?

No where near enough information to even start to answer your questins.

    What refrigerant?
    What are you cooling?
    and a million more questions.

If it pulls 76 amps when it loads you got more problems than adjusting the unloaders

overcharged causing the trip, probably was charged in the unloaded state, pull some liquid out to break the sight glass then load it up and clear the glass in the loaded state.let it settle out and adjust them with the unit stablized on the charge.

maxter correct. you cannot charge a system unloaded or if it has hot gas when hot gas is feeding. unit must be fully loaded to charge. load machine you then charge to around 8 to 10 degrees subcooling, sight glass will probably clear just slightly before subcooling reached.do not add more gas after design subcooling reached, it will not do you any good theres a problem.
