This sounds kinda retarded but my wife whom works for the Gov was given a project to make a timeline on A/C which is no problem but it is also to include:

"how air conditioning has improved or helped diversity in the workplace"

I need some ideas to get this part finished.

Conditioning a space makes everyone happier so blacks, jews, arabs, and whites cant youse that as an excuse to fight. As far as minoritys in the field go...it does not matter to me as long as the individual is a capable and responsible person, I would hire them. But I would not higher someone through affirmitive action b.s. to meet quotas or change statistics. If one is capable fine. Otherwise quit whineing. Toodles.

It taught me that I didn't want to be a plumber, but might want to service pool filters.

I learned how to work on commercial cooking appliances, industrial machinery, and custom birdhouses.

Can't get much more diverse than that.

For one thing A/C has made larger buildings possible. Every office no longer needs to have windows. Bigger buildings more people, more contact, more diversity.

The ACLU could have an office on one floor. The Pro Life movement on another. All walks of life in one structure. Everyone from a CEO to a dishwasher. No one is completely isolated from anyone. Closer contact and more of it than ever before.

That is the frozensolid theory, on the impact of Air Conditioning on social diversity. Or just plain B.S., what ever works for you.

Ya know the only trouble with the South ... is RedNecks!

I had my share of "white supremists" ... (so called), in California. They had plenty of them over there.

But here in the South ... it's sickening.

A cowerker invited me to his house for a family party. However, he specified that whites only were invited. He said this because he felt I was NOT a predujice person.

Hmmmmm.... I wonder sometimes ..... who dresses these people?
    Who ties their shoes?
Who wipes their little mouths after each and every bite?

Dice, once again ol man ... your right.

    I'm outa here.

Thanks, The help is appreciated. The branch my wife works for could care less about race, religion, sexual preferances as long as they suck you dry of any money they can they love you.

She gets Friday off for "National Day of Mourning". A 3 day weekend cause Ron died.

    It will be judged Monday.

Thanks for the ideas, you will see a few familiar pics from Hall of Pride and I also used a couple of the quotes from Frozensolid. She did lots of research and printed all kinds of crap from the history of HVAC.

If it was my project all the colorful quotes would have been there, but my wife insisted on political correctness. Anyway I used a picture of yours cant you ever be happy.
