My Memorial Day was about 180 degrees form NYC but it was still the same.
My grandson who is the kindergarden was marching in his first parade with his school in Hoosick Falls NY. Since adults were invited to march with the kids, Remy, asked his grandpoppy to march with him. So I did. The ceremony around the town park band stand could not have been duplicated by Hollywood. Prefect weather and I swear the whole town was out for the parade. 21 gun salute, taps, bag pipes and the National Anthem by the HS band.
Hoosick Falls' Armory, Company C, was deployed 2 weeks ago. This was the 85th contineous Memorial Day ceremony in this tiny little town. Well done Hoosick Falls.

I think we should all take time to remember, The men and women who have given their lives, so we could be free.
To all American soldiers living, and dead, I salute you, and I thank you. For the sacrifices you have made for us.
