Thread: web page wont open

any of you guys know what this means,cannot find server,dns error,i cannot open the cox.web page.been like this for 2 days,i can open msn,netscape,but not my home page,i want too open it NOW.
if at first you dont succeed,then skydiving is not for you

it sounds like the server that host the web page is down. post a link and see if anyone else can open it

I did a google search for cox, and found the first (cox.com).
I tried to access it, and it shut down my computer.
I am using XP pro and it had to self boot 3 times before it would stabalize.
What gives?

Can you open any web pages? If not check you connection. You can cut and past you links by right clicking on them.Originally posted by len

I just opened cox.com no problem, not sure if thats the site your trying... type out the url and let some of us try it... for example http://www.cox.com
and since cehs had problems with that site a disclaimer.... click the link at your own risk

Get a program called ping plotter, and see where its bogging down it may not be the cox server at all, but maybe one of the hops on the way.www.pingplotter.com

opened and accessed the website just fine
