Man, on the news they were saying gas prices will be all times for the Holiday weekend...

On Thurday night gas prices droped down to $1.99 from $2.05, Diesel drop from $1.75 to $1.65.

... What's up with that!? Were they trying to keep people from going anywhere?

They reprogramed the computers at the pumps. Now they will accept purchases over $50. It only cost me $63.47 to fill my truck yesterday and I could now put the whole amount into one transaction. Those gas companies are so accommodating.

A concrete company my mom is the secratary for here in town is owned by a company out in Omaha, NE. They called her last Thursday to have her call the safety center and request extra patrol around the gas tanks.....out at one of thier Nebraska plants they had 250 gallons of diesel stolen ....I mean really now, someone really wanted some gas bad to pull up with a bulk tank

Before you know it people will quit robbing banks and start robbing gas stations for the gas, not the money

On an unrelated note, my wife, a cashier at a grociery store had a guy ask her for a security escort to his car....he bought 2 gallons of milk. LOL ....he's a funny 'ol guy, you'd just have to know him.

$2.05 from DC all the way to Lancaster, PA over the weekend. Hasn't changed for a week, but soon enough I'll need to take out a loan to fill up.

Milk is near $4 a gallon

There is a conspiracy involving cows and the milking
    machine manufacturers.
The farmers are keeping quiet about it for now.
Seems the cows are cutting back on eating green grass.
More about this on the evening news.

Do ya'll realize that gas is still more than 30% cheaper when adjusted for inflation compared to the mid 70s?
In the US we have artificially low gas prices try comparing gas prices around the world. Most of the world has been paying twice as much as we do now for more than 20 years and their average incomes are much lower.
I went to the lake last week and play around skiing and tubing all day cost $80.00 this week it cost $40.00 spent less time running more time floating in the water. That doesn't include the fuel to get to and from the lake. I am not changing my habits or cutting back on recreation because gas has gone up a little. It's just life and life cost and it has nothing to do with Iraq and Kerry can't do anymore about the prices than Bush can.

I agree with classical on the gas.

The war has raised the prices on many things though gas isn't one, this has been a long time coming. Besides, the military has all the gas they could EVER need over there. Building a home is now more expensive due to the war, with plywood prices at twice the price of pre-war prices. We shipped ship after ship full of wood to Iraq....this I don't mind since it was a need for our soldiers.....obviously nobody else minds either with new home construction still on the rise. With Steel up it is affecting us some but we can just pass that cost to the customer, I know Lennox passed it on to me ,and the supplier we get duct from, they only guarantee prices for 24 hours now.

Gas is up, milk is up, cigarettes are up, wood is up, steel is up, and my property taxes are way up....so when the hell is my pay going up? That's the only thing I wonder.

I think having increased gas prices is good for the hvac industry. No one has any excuse to continue to be a low ball because customers see that our expenses are rising, as should our prices. I just wish I had discount pass or something, you know, I ve been buying gas for so long don't you think I should get a break.

And the pumps that still shut off at $50 only give me 3/4 of a tank now...

Funny part, although natural gas and LP aren't up too high yet I have been overwhelmed with estimate requests for heat pumps, corn furnaces, and corn stoves. Atleast customers are willing to fight back against the high fuel costs, and we get to benefit from it
