Well, today is Mom's 80th birthday! My family has been very lucky, both my Mom & Dad are alive and reasonably well, my brother and two sisters are alive and well, and all of our children. We have had only one tragedy and that was my older sister's husband Bob Martin who died 20 years ago in a car accident driving his brand new Corvette. He was a great guy and a very successful electrical contractor, we still miss him.

My younger sister has flown in from Calgary and we are all meeting today in my hometown of Kingston which is about 100 miles from where I live in Ottawa.

The sun is shining, the sky is blue, the gas tank is full, should be a great day!

    Don...

you are so fortunate to have both of them still with you...congratulations to all of the Sleeth family.
What a great place Kingston is at this time of the year..the old restored steam plant and Fort Henry over looking the harbour.
If every a...... could do this,I wouldn't have a job...

Glad to see you got great weather up there today.. Today, sucks here in Minnesota. Cloudy, and maybe rain on and off. :-(

    Gas price dropped tho!

Enjoy the time with your Mom and everyone else.. I know I do. I lost my grandfather last year, and he was 78.. I miss him.

Those aren't tennis shoes, they are running shoes. I ran to the car once when it was raining, I think, a long time ago.

For once, I had no laptop with me!! A whole half a day off!

The pics actually turned out pretty bad, we were typical dumb amateurs. With the sun shining on the top half of the stone wall, it fooled all of our cameras so that there was not enough exposure on the actual people. Those two I posted had to be lightened in Photoshop. With all of us taking digital pics, we probably have about 400 under exposed pictures!

Thanks Dice, I know, life has been good to me.
