Nah, that's not me. None of my clean-ups have water in the oil tank.

That strainer came out of a furnace that was 4 months old that Universal installed in Hillsmere.

That furnace by any chance was not in a crawlspace was it? I found a Thermopride oil furnace with a cracked heat exchanger about that long ago, but we lost the job to a low bidder.

I'm curious what could have caused all that moisture in an oil tank besides condensate from a almost empty tank

The water was from the large amount of snow we had covering the vent and the fill. I assume that was where it came from, but it is a real old tank in a basement.Mr Chesapeake's company told the customer they need a new tank, and they do, but they didn't want to spend the money and thats what they got!

No not a crawl, you guys bid the job and Universal got the job, And i went out there 3 times for problems with the draft, pulled the smoke pipe out of the chimney base and the liner was all crumbled and combustion products going in between the liner and the bricks. Told Universal they had to line the chimney, and told Chuck E. to never sell another oil furnace without a liner, the old one was 125,000 btu and the new one was 50,000 btu and the liner is an 8x8 15 foot tall. The draft was non existent or had down drafts.

I love it. People who always end up spending more money to fix something because they refuse to pay someone to properly do it. Way to go.
