In another thread you spoke of moth balls and a smudge pot for Mosquito control.

Would you mind explaining because those friggers are driving me nuts.

    Thanks

Sure. I took some 30 lbs refrigerant cyclinders and cut them in half with a metal cutting blade in my circular saw.
Then you have 2 pots. I used a total of 6 pots.

Then I put them in a circle around my cabin yard. In each I started a charcoal fire. Once the fire is going I dump a half a box of moth balls in each pot. The pillowing white smoke rolls across the ground and kills any thing that bugs you. I'm told that most insects only live for 24hrs. So if you do this 2 days in a row you break the cycle.

I am sure this stuff would kill a human so you didn't hear this from me. Common sense tells you not to breathe these fumes.

I have one of those but it takes hours and plenty of the kerosene they sell you for it.
It works for about 4-6 hours after I spend that much time using it.

I did some checking and found that some Park departments spray garlic oil for the little critters. Says the sulfur residue keeps them away. The cost is prohibitive for my
use though. I do know that if you burn sulfur in your house it kills any insects it
    comes in contact with.

I will try a mosquito magnet at the cottage since there are people in close proximity. But no one within a 1/4 mile here at the house and I want to do up to 20 acres.

Benncool I will be trying it this weekend and see what happens.

You do know that you are suppose to put a propane can on it and light it?

I am in a virtual jungle and get instant results with it with next to zero over head on insecticide.

A propane tank? Maybe I should try that next time I have been beating the buggers with it.

When I use it I get instant results too, but they are back in a matter of hours
