Consider yourself lucky if those aren't holly bushes.
Can't figure what landscape architects got against HVAC service techs. They're always sticking those @#%$ holly bushes by condensing units!
Tell the ho to break out the chainsaw
i changed one like that out once, years ago. the h/o said "the salesman said you can do it without damaging the bushes"....we did anyway
i now do the sales, and tell the custonmer the bushes gotta go

I love the smell of chainsaws in the morning.

Just extend the lineset under the bushes and set the new unit in yard. Leave the old one in there and give $20 discount for the disposal.

Take those bushes add about 10' to them and let them hang over the top of the Lennox. My 2nd no-cool this AM. I couldn't believe it when she said "it's in there" and all I could see was bushes. Sad part was, one of my co-workers was there recently to reset the high pressure switch and didn't tell them to trim back the bushes.
Went on an old XV1500. customer was complaining to dealer because they'd lost 3 compressors in 9 years. We had to use a machete to get to the unit. I didn't have much sympathy on extending the warranty.
We had to change out a compressor in an ancient TRANE condensing unit once. It was a 20 ton unit for a restaurant and it had trees growing around it. And through it! We got the sawsall and some rough-in blades and made us some working room. The restaurant manager wasn't happy at all but, our reasoning was the trees got cut or the ac stayed broke, your choice. They made their decision and we fixed the unit.
Looks like this belongs in a Where's Waldo book.
Good thing they didn't get the color yorks with the camo panels
