Landlord grade recovery machine

I had a landlord come in yesterday morning and ask if I would hook up a used Intertherm condenser. He needed me to vac and charge, he already hooked it up. Normally I would've restrained before saying I suppose but he dropped $350 on the counter, and well, cash is cash.

So I went there today, unit was in decent shape and hooked up right. So I start pulling a vac and can't, leaking somewhere...so I put in a shot of nitrogen. I could hear it and it was coming from a valve core. So I pull the cap off and wouldn't you know it, a nice little rock falls out.....you should have seen how red the landlord got

Anyhow, I removed his recovery device and proceeded, the unit ran just fine.

Where there's a will there's a way I guess, no matter how cheap a person is.
