Just wondering how you like it there? I read the JCI thread in the Jobs section where everybody was bashing them.

Go on there web site there looking for people in edison nj office and also in blackwood office under key work put in chiller union and see what comes up not all the branch offices are screwed up only some but to be honest all the big companys are doing the same thing these days its just how much you as an individual can stomach and if you can sleep at night with a clear head.

you'll find a ton of ex-jork guys, like me, on here. 15 years with them and just couldn't stomach it any more, found another job with one of the big 3 and couldn't be more happy with my job. if you are looking to work for 'em, make sure you get a bunch of paper with their offer and signatures on it, otherwise, you'll find out just what all that bashing is about.

My experience is similar to 56 and others- each branch is distinct in that it all depends on upper management as to how you will be treated.
If you can talk to people that work in/out of a particular office will be your best guide.

I will see first hand for myself as I am scheduled to start next Monday. I am use to big company bs, and at least I will be off of unemployment. Going to try and make the best of it and my BA said the branch is good and works to resolve issues.

As you said at least your off unemployment believe it or not some of the companys that I have talked with would rather hire a guy thats working than a guy thats layed off in these times it says something about that individual.

I believe that to be very true, companies will do whatever they have to hold onto a quality mechanic, except some places where you are just a number and the place I last worked at. I am not the 1st person this has happened too there either. Then propspective companies question why is this guy out of work
My name got mentioned to the branch through several different avenues but not the hall and they called me. The ironic thing is my old employer had a little management shake up there and the new head of service offered me my old job back but the A-hole that shafted me is still there so I turned them down the day after all my paperwork came back from JCI.
Thanks, my wife can't wait to get me out of the house
