Siemens PXC-M and a Daniel series 1500 turbine flow meter
Ok, I have the above mentioned flow meter and I am having a difficult time figuring out how to connect this to a field panel. I think that I am missing part of the device. The only piece that is installed is the portion that is connected to the pipe. The preamplifier that sticks up off of the device(in the pictures) is not installed. Do I need that preamplifier in order to pick up a signal? If you read the documentation, it does not say that preamplifier is required in order to pick a signal from the device. Once I find out if have the proper devices, do I build this point as an LPACI since it puts out a pulse? This thing is a pain in the butt! Any answers would be greatly appreciated!

I don't have any experience with this particular meter, but you will be building it as an LPACI point once it's operational. Also, you may need a Pulse Scaler if the meter puts out a very high frequency.
