    Honeywell VisionPro Ventilator Control

I have a Renweaire ERV connected to my Honeywell zone panel and controlling it with VisionPro thermostat. Does anyone know what the % ventilation limit setting on this thermostat means. I have tried adjusting the setting thinking it meant % of clock time but my ventilator seems to run a lot longer than it needs. I tried contacting Honeywell but they will not help me. Was hoping someone on this forum could help.

    Thanks

Might get some answers if you post the model number of your thermostat, and zone panel.

THM5421 is the EIM (Eqiupment Interface Module) that goes with the VisionPro IAQ - make sure you have correct componentes.
www.customer.honeywell.com , from there you can enter your Honeywell Item number to search on the right hand side. Once you select your correct component, you will see all available downloads, i.e.; installation / operational manuals, etc at the bottom of the page.

    Hope that helps.

Should work the same as the TH9421

Increase the setting for the ERV CFM, and tell it you have one less bedroom.

That will shorten its run time. And how often.

I have CFM (403) set to 195 (max) and #bedrooms (401) set to 1. House size (402) is set to 43 (4300 sq ft). Max ventilation limit (404) % 30. Ventilation Fan Action (405) is 1 ON. 406 Vent in high humidity is 0 off. No where is doc does it indicate the algorithm used with these settings to determine ventilator run time. What does 404 max % mean. Clock time? Run time of heat?

    Percent of an hour.

Set your sq ft down lower, and that will also limit the run time.

I lowered the sq ft setting but that does not help. Still runs and runs and runs. I let it run continuous for 90 mins before I shut off Auto mode. When I turn off Auto the Thermostats sends signal to shut off the ventilator. I think there is a defect in the programming of auto mode for this thermostat. It sure is vague how this thing use the settings to determine run time. Time is money so I think I will give up on Honeywell and use a simple proportional timer option from Renewaire. Seems like duplication of what the Honeywell system should do given its cost.

What sq ft did you set 402 to?

I set sq ft (402) to 20 which equates to 2,000 sq ft. # bedrooms (401) is 1 and cfm of my ventilator (403) is 195. % limit (404) is 30 and Ventilation Fan action (405) is 1. Funny thing is that the manual timed ventilation works fine. I set it to run 20 minutes and after that it shuts off. When I set it to Auto, vent turns on and runs and runs and runs. Is there any mechanism to reset the auto vent settings without loosing all the other settings.

Unfortunate, guess this expensive Honeywell system is not worth the money. No wonder they are so vague on the specifications. I am not pleased with this product and its tempting to yank the whole deal and replace it with another brand! Not sure I can afford that path with economy like it is.
