Hi,
My second post. Last week I finished reading all the install/setup manuals for our new furnace installation a G61MPV along with an HRV (HRV3-150).
The physical install in my opinon (a non-profesisonal one) was good. It was installed in a return/return configuration with proper distances and the intake/exhaust with insulated pipes was done to my satisfaction. They could have taped all joints but I fixed that.
Issue is that the HRV manual insists on "interlocking the HRV Unit Blower to the Furnace Blower". But now, our simple controller (HRV Control Y2166) is wired directly to the HRV and no wires from it were cross-wired with the furnace.
Should I insist that it be fixed?

The manual says:
CAUTION
Potential equipment malfunction or damage. May require repairs and/or void warranty.
When interconnecting HRV/ERV ductwork with HVAC duct system, HRV/ERV blower must be interlocked with HVAC blower. System air circulation must not be allowed to backflow through HRV/ERV.
