I'm researching a freestanding coal stoker, Harmon DVC500.
It's a bit pricy, but would pay off in the long run. Operates on anthracite rice coal. I live in the Cleveland area and this coal is available to me. Does anyone have any input on this heater?

I've got a new residential coal fired stoker in use. I'm really happy with it. Made by <http://www.alternateheatingsystems.com/>
Model S130. It was a do it yourseld install and first used this past heating season. It heats my home and detached garage. Also heats my domestic how water with a Weil McLain indirect hot water heater. First year operating cost with anthracite coal are about 1/3 cheaper than oil. Located in Maryland with coal coming from Penn.
