I agree about their site. I just use their print catalog.
Merry Christmas

I am also curious about what the pros think of their registers. We spec'd some of the curved blade CB series for my house ceiling, and 950 series for the wall grilles. Looks nice in the catalog, anyway.

Shoemakers
I use these in my high end jobs, they are at my local supply house. They are top quality, made of excellent materials and assembled with care. No shame installing these babies. The "other" that I use is Kruegger but those are the linear slots.
You will not regret chosing Shoemakers.

I asked my contractor to use the OBDs. Would it be a lot better to go without OBDs and just damper in the duct work instead? It is not that often we will adjust the balance, but when household members do adjust, I don't want it to whistle. Also spec'd to use the 950s w/OBDs for the wall registers.

Damper at start of branch or supply runout if access is not too difficult.
I prefer the 904's for more adjustment choices. Good luck.......have a good Memorial weekend......
BTW the Shoemaker web site is easy to navigate to product now.

For the ceiling I was originally thinking of the CB series.. CB20, CB30. These Shoemaker curved blade registers have a nice clean look. However I just noticed they have a new model.. the MCB modular curved blade series that has 4 panels that I can arrange in any orientation. What would be the benefit of the CB series if I could just get the MCB and turn the modules in certain ways? Any reason I should not switch over to MCB? Does the CB look nicer in a residence, for example?
