Just for my own edification, in the event of an inadvertent mismatch of h/p and a/h, what would the result be?

The problems with a mismatch could be minor to major depending on how bad the mismatch and other factors.

Get your make and model# from the inside unit and the outside unit. Or ask the installing contractor for the ARI number of the install. If they match there will be an ARI number. It usually required to get rebates from your utility.

Don't get full system capacity.
Charge not right for heating, or and or for cooling mode.
Cost more to operate.

Okay, checked models and everything looks ok on the AHRI. Question: Is the Carrier Performance model FV4CNB006 new this year? I am told they had to use the Comfort cabinet on this model as all of the components would not fit in the Performance cabinet.
