    Is Bryant a reputable brand?

    Hi there,

New member here. I am in the process of getting quotes to replace my AC unit for my attic. The best quote I have received so far is for a Bryant system. Fortunately it looks like I do not have to replace my current furnace.

I am being told that a Bryant is a just rebadged Carrier with the exact same components.

I plan to stay in the home at least 10 years so I want something quality but not necessarily top of the line.

    Thank you.

Yes, Bryant & Carrier are the same except for cosmetics and some differences in the outdoor units. A brand is only as good as the installer and good installers can be hard to find.

Don't forget the extended warrenty, it's a good deal! If U would rather Carrier just switch the plastic name plates they both will fit in the same holes.

Bryant has top notch equipment. Bryant/Carrier are the same thing except for a few different things in the condenser like they other person mentioned. I've had very good luck with Bryant.

    Yep, its a good Brand.

Let me ask you though. How old is the furnace? If you havent used it already you could get a tax credit with a qualifying SYSTEM...Just throwing that out there...

The furnace is a 10 year old 50,000 btu unit.

For the Bryant is there different levels of quality i.e. builder grade, etc. I will post the specs I am being quoted once I receive them.

    Thanks for the hel

bryant is a good brand. as stated in previous posts, it is sister company to Carrier and generally their product line is identical except for cosmetic differences in cabinets.

their product line goes as follows:

    Evolution
    Preferred
    Legacy
    Base(bottom of the line)

spend a few minutes on their website.

    IMO
