Replaced a 2 ton Goodman Gas Pack with a 13.5 SEER Duel Fuel - Honeywell Touch Screen T-Stat for Duel Fuel Control.

Looks pretty nice. I like to see a seperate 1/2" liquid tight for the stat wire, also the disconnect could be a little higher.

I wish Heil hadn't coppied the Carrier design, I just dont care for that overhead coil design. Dont like it on the Trane either.

    Was the Goodman dead?

The Goodman had a cracked heat exchanger, locked up blower motor, and a bad smart valve. The wire length feeding the disconnect determined the height that we could work with. I am not a big fan of this design either, but the price for this duel fuel was cheaper than a 14 seer gas pack of other manufactures.

There's a scratch on the bottom of the disconnect switch, that's sloppy!

    Cool

Looks good. Do you line the inside of the ducts? We don't use these in Buffalo, just wondering.
To the man who always did it right. I love you dad and I will miss you to much for words.

Thanks for the comments. I do not use duct liner in any circumstance. If it has to be insulated inside I use duct board ( Foil side to the air stream or in rare cases sheet Armaflex).

It looks great but, how did you make it water tight? Maybe I am looking at it wrong, but it looks like you just broke flanges against the wall.

The flanges against the wall are sealed with silicone. That cover is just for looks and to keep direct sunlight and direct rain off of the duct connections.Works well.

To the right of the unit - looks like a gas regulator.....??

Dosent that have to be 5+' from an ignition souce? I would count the vent off the unit a ignition source....

    Just wondering..

The sealtite conduit is a metalic rubber coated rated for underground and corrosive enviroments. The Gas meter and regulator was installed by the Gas Company. They signed off on it.

Can the unit be under the electrical meter?
    Where does the PVC go?
And yes, the flue is close to the gas meter.
Do you need a drip leg on the gas line?

Is this going to be inspected?

I know we all want to have our jobs look good.......but sometimes we forget the the liability side of our installations. Three years later, place catches on fire and then you are reminded of what you should have done in the first place.
