This fireplace smells!!

This is what I've herd from the last two customers that I have installed Dovre DV425 black cast iron finish. We install six major brands of fireplaces and stoves. We get complaints in the fall every year on a few of them usually connected to dust problems. But these Dovre stoves, I tried every thing I know. Long hours of burn time, dubble check all venting, and caulk joints. I don't know. Has anyone else had simular problems with Dovre stoves. Whats werd is it's just the flat black stove that does it to. Any info would be very helpfull. Thanks, Helgy

Never heard of this problem with Dovre stoves myself, although that doesn't mean anything.


Have you checked with the distributor for their experience or perhaps directly with the manufacturer's tech reps?
