Whats the proper term?

You enter a building, the doors slide open- you walk about 16 feet and another set of slideing doors open. The glass room is about 16'x16'. It has supply air enering it from a stainless steel floor grating.
You are now in the building. You leave the same way. This is a public entrance to a hospital. Would it be a) vestibule-b)air lock-c)anteroom?

I would call it a vestibule.

All 3 of these rooms are designed to separate the inner environment from the outer environment and all usually include some type of positive air pressurization to try to keep the environments separated.

A vestibule is the least effective of these since both door are automatic and can stand open all the time if enough traffic is moving in and out. The amount of air supplied by the HVAC system doesn’t stand a chance against the wind blowing.

In a hospital an ante room typically separates some sort of isolation room from the public space and has manual doors with closers making it more difficult for both to be open at the same time. They are usually positive to the isolation room and neutral to the corridor or adjacent space.

An air lock is designed so that only one door can be opened at a time and usually includes a separate HVAC system to completely turn over the air in the space before the 2nd door is opened.
