Southern Ontario - Getting into a union?

Hello, Im in southern ontario I have been licensed and working as a g2 fitter for about a year, I have a college diploma in HVAC/R and I am very interested in getting into the refridgeration side of things and would like to get into the union as an apprentice. Im looking for any advice that will get me moving in the right direction, what exactly do I have to do to get in with the union.
I am in niagara, ON would I be able to work in my area or would I need to be flexible to move around alot for work, Any info would be great
