    Insight system profile

    anyone know why a client machine on Insight would show all other PC's unlatched on system profile, including server but everything is working fine, able to see and ping server, graphics, etc. updating

    Name resolution. The other PCs need to be in the HOSTS file of the affected machine... or DNS needs to be setup and working correctly. Most likely, you just need to copy %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts from a machine where they are latched to the problematic workstation.


    NOTE: %SYSTEMROOT% is a variable for the folder to which Windows is installed. (C:\WINNT, C:\WINDOWS, etc.)

    Can I copy the info inside the host file and paste it in the host file on the "sick" machine

    Yes. Just make sure the entry for localhost (127.0.0.1) doesn't get deleted.
