I talked to Dave yesterday. He is having people over on Friday night but he lives kinda far outside of town so not sure any of you want to go there but you are invited.
We will both be down on Saturday afternoon to hook up with you all and then figure out where to have dinner and all that jazz. You will most likely have to fend for yourselves Friday night and Saturday morning. You will be right across the street from The Heinz History Center. A smaller kinda museum on Pgh history. There are plenty of bars and restaurants right up the block as well.
All within walking distance. It will be a good time.

I always stay at Choice hotels. With my Choice membership, I get great discounts because I use hotels so often. Plus, they are always pretty much the same with the same amenities.

Well if ya need another stent you are right across the street from some really great hospitals.
Ya ain't far away, maybe someone who rides in with someone else can fanaggle a free parking pass for your car.
As long as they have their own room they should get a free pass for parking there by just asking at the desk. maybe D4 or Bob or whatever.

Sounds good. I don't mind paying, I just want to make sure there is some place to park. Believe it or not, I have been avoiding most things that will put me back in the hospital. I think I have enough metal in the heart for the time being.

ok so I talked to Ed the other day, he will be going down town saturday early afternoon. I am planning on going down Saturday as well. Steve and Shaun (and their ladies) will be with me
We are going to have a few beers at my place friday night and you guys are welcome to come here to drink or hang out if you like, I am probably 45 minutes from the hotel, I am sure you can also find eds house if I give you his address, I think he is 15 or 20 minutes from the hotel
I am not doing anything special friday night, not planning on anything but sitting around getting drunk.
we can order pizzas or subs if anyone likes and there are a few restaurants within 5 miles of here if you choose that
if you want to come here PM or call me and I will give you my addy
otherwise Ed says there is tons to do near the hotel, lots within walking distance also
also there are cabs there if you want to go anywhere
I LIVE IN THE STICKS AND THERE IS NO PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION if you drink here you will have to drive back,
and there is one more option... there are 3 or 4 hotels within 5 minutes of my house if anyone wants to stay there friday night instead. i would have to get info if anyone wants it

Seems that Saturday is the Irish drunk fest day, besides the wed after I mean.
The St. Pats Day Parade is the 13th. So..........if ya want get up early, not too early like 9 or 10, and follow all the drunks downtown to Market Sq. We went last year, pretty funny, one of the biggest in the country.

Now you have something to do.

i may make this one. it is a long drive for me into the city, maybe 3 miles but i can probably afford the gas.

i hope everyone realizes that every bar and restaurant will probably be standing room only. this is the drunkest day of the year in pittsburgh and the place will be a madhouse.

i will be alone because my girl is having surgery on thursday and will not be able to leave the house. so if anyone wants to bring me a hottie that will be ok.
