POSSIBLY BIG BROTHER WATCHING??
This organization of the FBI solidy appears to be recruiting members from the local business community of some cities. It smacks somewhat of what happened in Nazi Germany with neighbors spying on neighbors. These type of government/citizen relationships could be ripe for abuse.

Maybe.
Need time to look at it, think it all the way through. I've not heard of this before. Where did you hear about this? The views and opinions posted here are my own. They do not reflect the corporate policies of my employer and will most likely get me fired at some point.

The NSA tried to recruit me. I work in the computer field. It must be a conspiracy. They're all out to get us.

LOL!
Anyway, I saw (for the first time!) this outfit on Jesse Ventura Conspiracy Theory tonight. Wasn't anything on so I was looking for laughs. Went to MSNBC and watch Rachael "I'm so much better and brighter than YOU" Maddow for all of the 3 minutes I could stand. Ran around the channels and landed on Jesse.
WHAT A TRIP THAT MAN IS!!!!Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

This is one of those things that demands careful and thorough consideration.
Yes, it absolutley could be the beginnings of something very ugly. It also could be exactly what we need right now.
I don't envy the decision you're faced with. Your fellows did you no favors this time.
I have two reccomendations:
1) Pull the old chinese proverb and think on it at least 3 days before deciding.
2) Keep your decision confidential. Maybe even have this thread deleted.
Good luck bud.The views and opinions posted here are my own. They do not reflect the corporate policies of my employer and will most likely get me fired at some point.

Some more interesting data
It seems like the membership is privy to information ahead of the local citizenship in exchange for information.

You guys are forgetting one thing. This is the government we are talking about. The one that was told that a Nigeran was going to try to blow up a plane on Christmas. The government that was called by the terroists father and warned what his son was up to.
I dont really worry too much about what they are trying to do. They are not very good at it.

Cue the dark city street with a hint of fog. Man in trenchcoat with a fedora leaning on building scans the street as a horn honks in the distance.
Something moved!
Quick as a flash he activates the transponder.
Did he do it in time??? Will the hordes of machine-gun toting foreigners in beat-up Japanese pickup trucks get nabbed before unleashing mayhem?
Stay tuned for a message from our sponsorsIt's great to be alive and pumping oxygen!

Is this his theory on the JFK assassination?
I heard him on Howard Stern one day. Jesse was discussing without elaborating on it, but made claims about JFK's assassination was done by Lee Harvey Oswald's twin or something wayyyyyyy out there??? I didn't catch the whole thing, but he was pretty excited about it.

YOUR A LITTLE LATE
Big brother has been here for quite some time.
Red Light Cameras
speed cameras
security cameras on every street corner (including sound directional equipment)
Traffic cameras
Radar traps
Registration and inspection stops (everytime I get to one of these I always ask the cops if they want to see my travel paper's)
Security cameras in almost every store you enter
it's just going to get worse and worse.”No law ever prevented a crime.”

True that.
I drive many miles on the same Interstate highways everyday. The newest tactic to stop cars in my area is the tinted windshield. All The cop needs is to suspect your windshield is too dark. They can stop you and use a gauge to measure the shade of tinting. Of course this is bogus. They are actually using it to profile Hispanics that they suspect are running drugs from Mexico. See it all the time. There are three cop cars and they all have one truck/car pulled over. The drug dog is sniffing around the car/truck and all the contents are pulled out. The remaining cops are searching the car to the point of cutting up the interior. I see it everyday. I have never seen a white man handcuffed sitting on the side of the road while they search the vehicle.
I don't think it is very successful. I never hear of any major drug busts resulting from these stops. I think these obviously Mexican looking cars are decoys. The real drugs are being hauled by bubba in his 2010 Escalade.

Not that I am a fan of government keeping tabs on its citizens but who will be the first to holler when some Arab kids somehow manage to destroy a good chunk of real estate or people?
Sorry to say but this is the world we live in now. A lot of our infrastructure is networked and our economy would just stop if our communication system went down. I would prefer a little pro-activeness rather than putting systems in place after the fact.
