How do you walk away from this?

I went on a no heat call today and saw this while looking over the RTU. A new gas valve had been installed a week earlier. The guy twisted the manifold during the install. How can a guy walk away and not see this? Or more likely, how do you see this and not do anything about it? I enjoyed straightening out the bird nest wires too. This truly is a shame, fitting for this forum.

    Scary

Amazes me that people refuse to use two wrenches or better yet take the manifold bar out and work with two wrenches on a proper work surface

Nice rust on that. Changed an inducer motor on one similar a few weeks back...costly repair.

how in the world did they manage to do that, isn't that manifold screwed to something
It`s better to be silent and thought the fool; than speak and remove all doubt.

Nope. Those screws would cost Carrier way too much. Have seen those twisted all the time. Nomally it's new installs. Sercive techs have a better track record of making sure things are right before packing it up.

Considering the amount of corrosion on the draft housing, how was the rest of the heat exchanger?? Looks questionable...
