I think you may be good then. YOu can walk into the supplier and ask to get a form to sign up for an account. Then you'll know for sure what you need extra(if any) from there. I still have account forms from donpark and carrier that i havent filled somewhere, can remember where i put them though.

should i get contractor rates right away on furnaces and parts and stuff?, or should it take time to establish with them?

i know with other suppliers, plumbing and electrical suppliers i used to get stuff at contractor rates, even without a license, cause i had a home reno company.

trying to switch over is becoming quite the task

You will get contractor rates when you start your account with any of them. The process is easy, you fill out an application and make sure you have all your credentials. Easy as that!!!!

Im not sure about purchasing actual equipment since I work for a contractor. But for parts and supplies you should be ok. These are questions best asked for the supplier. Just phone them up, doesnt hurt.

I dont have an account with any of the suppliers except for lennox, and I always get contractors rate for parts and supplies when I need too.

The price you pay now will change as you purchase more. It will decrease.
