What does LEED have to do with Merv ratings?

The least restrictive filter which will keep the equipment clean should always be used; if such a filter doesn't exist for the application, duct retrofits might be required.

The best way to keep the air clean is to stop polluting it (air fresheners, chemical cleaners, smoking, use of vacuums with inadequate filters). Ventilation when necessary may also help a great deal.

If anything put a merv 10. Its kind of the mid grade but still work as good then merv 13. One then too if you dont have really bad breathing promblems you r kind of wasting money on that merv 13.
