anyone working for marriot hotels?
I have an interview friday for lead engineer in boston and I was just trying to get some research and a perspective from the employee side of things.
-
Good luck with the interview. Remember when you get the job you have to host a convention, free rooms and bar included.
-
which marriott are you interviewing at? Ive done service calls at them before.
-
the renniasance waterfront on congress st. Its a new hotel and sounds like a good tight-nit crew is there now.
-
Update: Interview went really well. the HVAC training I am finishing up I think is going to set me apart from from any other applicants. It seems there is a hole there to fill as far as that is concerned. I should know something by the end of the year.
oh , and thank you notes went out today.

Good Luck with it. We wish you the best. Keep us posted.

a guy I go to school with works at on and loves it, he is more on the maintenance side but still does a little hvac work, more once he finishes schooling.
-
Ive done some service calls at that renassance, for refrigeration. It was all water cooled. I also know someone who worked there as an engineer, and left after a couple months because of the low pay. The marriotts also started hiring their own "hvac cluster techs" to service multiple hotels.

UPDATE: a month and a half of waiting after 2 really good interviews with the engineering staff, I get a computor generated email from some d-bag in HR saying thanks b ut no thanks.
time to keep on keepin on...
