Actually, both Heybob and Jim Davis have now seen me in a nightgown. I hear they will eventually regain their full vision, but the nightmares are pretty much permanent.

Your avatar pic looks kinda like a weird twin bi-wing.

That's a new one. Most people think it was staged to show how airplanes are created.

Actually, the planes in the pic were both on approach to an uncontrolled field and neither saw the other because a low wing plane cannot see what is directly below it, and high wing planes cannot see what is directly above them. It was most likely a simulated instrument approach for the top plane. They came together as the lower plane touched down, so most of the energy has already been lost as the top plane has also slowed to touchdown speed, a little over 55 miles per hour.

I'd like to have been in those guys brains to know what they were thinking when they first realized something just ain't right. LOL!

It's an illustration of how dangerous flight instruction can be.

There was a student and an instructor in the bottom plane.

Thankfully, I never had that lack of situational awareness while instructing. I knew I had to be looking out for us, because the student probably wasn't.

Here is a page that describes the accident in my avatar:

Now you know why I preferred skydiving; it was safer then landing in a plane.
