First Co. w/HW & 3 ton DX Coil

I should have taken the Chicken **** photo before it was turned into Chicken Soup. Filter is in RAG, boiler system has circulation pump. 3 way valve has inverted flair fittings so one can R&R valve body when needed.
old unit had a 3.5 ton cooling coil with piston for a 3 ton a/c. Suction was frosting up. Not any more.

Filter grill looks kind of small for 3 ton.

    What brand of condenser?

And yes, first co AHU's are very common here.

What is a DX coil exactly? I've heard that mentioned on here before but not sure what it is.

What is the zone valve doing? I have never seen a 3-port zone valve before.

The 3 ton condenser was I think a Trane unit, was existing. It really needs to be a 2.5 ton for the condo load so if it ever gets changed out that is what we will do.

DX stands for the refrigeration cooling coil in the air handler stands for Direct Expansion coil.

This condo complex has 8 boilers serving several clusters of buildings. The boilers serve the potable hot water needs along with heating needs. Each boiler has a circulation pump sized for the hot water to loop. The 3 way valve allows the hot water to loop around the air handler when no need for heating. Call for heat and the 3 way valve opens the other port so hot water flows through the HW coil in the air handler. The indoor fan is a delay on/off set up with the factory circuit board.

Wow I never knew you could set it up so your DHW and heating water were on the same loop.

Also, curious why you went with an R-22 system?
