    The Fusion of Mechanical Failure & Art

    "Gee, the furnace sounds kinda funny...oh well, we'll leave it run & call someone tomorrow...afternoon..." Must have had the Wankel effect. Looks kinda cool, actually. I'm trying to collect a set of 4...coming to theaters soon..."MAD MAX: BEYOND JUNKYARD DOME"...

    That come out of a Goodman unit? Goodman had a run of those years back.

    I had a 15 ton Voyager do that once. Damn thing shook the whole roof when it was trying to run.

    i wish i would of took some pics of the one i replaced on a york furnace the other day day it came off the center wheel like that but was completely bent up and destroyed from still running

    Ever have one come completley apart and sling the vanes onto the hx and down the supply? People in the space say "we heard screaching but it went away two days ago. Now it's not heating/cooling." Cut the shaft, ruined the bearings, and chopped a hole in the danged scroll. Now you don't have nothi'n till I get the parts. Turn off next time you hear bad noises nurble.

    I had an 18" wheel on an eng/air unit blow apart a few years back, i had to be lowered into the duct to clean up all the pieces.

    How about when the vanes sling into an electric auxiliary heater? Looks like someone went all epileptic with an arc welder...

    he wants 4 of them so he can get more money at the scrapyard. thats why i would want 4 at least.

    I had three out of five Heil 5-ton HPs do exactly that. Came apart and stripped out the auxiliary strips also. All the first winter, under warranty of course.

    Love it when the homeowner thinks a box fan taped to the front of the unit makes a good temp repair.
