    Oversized Boiler

A few years ago I took advantage of a special offer to switch from oil heat to natural gas run by the local utility company. The installers came to survey the job and without doing load calculations(that I ever saw) decided I needed a 120,000 BTU boiler (a 117,000 BTU boiler was installed) . When I performed load calculations a few years latter (Just for fun), I came up with a requirement for approximately 75,000 BTU Boiler. I had a professional in the business come up with about the same answer (77,000 BTU). Is having an oversized boiler as big a deal as having an oversized A/C system? Am I using more gas than I would with a correctly sized boiler? Would installing an outdoor reset boiler control help save me any money?

Yes, your using more gas then need be.
And an outdoor reset will help save you some on it.

How many times must one fix something before it is fixed?
