One thing we all have to respet with Trane is their ability to sell thier story no matter what that story is! You don't get 75percent market share by putting your foot in your mouth. You get it by getting your customers to think like you! My bet is that Trane will have a plan and will execute it well. We don't all have to like them but we do have to respect them. They have kicked the other mfgs around for at leastthe last 20 years. I am for the mfg who takes a step back and puts the contractors and indepents first but that a new thread!
You are probally right? I would guess that R 123 will be phased out long before 2030 and a new compressor introduced.
Direct drive run with a converter up to around 200hz. This makes the compressor half the size and the chiller size much smaller.
This technoligy already exisits so when push comes to shove it will quickly appear on the market. Just a guess?
What climate change ?????? Theres a lot of people making a whole S%@#$load of money out of this whole climate change crap. Hell they even chaneged the name from global warming to climate change because they realized they were wrong ????????
All I do know is the phase out date for R123 will probably be pushed back much as it was for R22 because they couldnt make anything better .
R123 will be around until at least 2030 and I'll be at the lake" havin a few " and tinkering with my toys by then .
If it gets cold its because of global warming and if it gets hot it is because of global warming. What the hell?
Trane has a gear drive high pressure unit that they don't sell here.
I've always wondered what kind of deal was made on that one.
When I was at the factory I asked. They said the low pressure machine is better but 123 is not allowed over seas so they have no choice but sale something different over there. I asked why not give customers here a choice and they said they do not want to compete against themselves.
