I vote for the aug.dates also. It is about 500 so I'll probably just drive down. So if we are taking the War Departments let me know. Other wise I'll just disappear that weekend. She will think that I am at camp and won't give a crap. But if I say, "Going South" she will be in the car like my dog,Brac, used to do.

Get a couple of the better product salesmen to come over for the picnic and set up a couple tables for them to display their wares. I bet you could work something out about having a display of HVAC-CALC products there. Then it would be a legit tax write off for everyone. They may also invest some money into the catering or door prizes just for the opportunity to meet the largest congregation of the greatest minds on the planet.

I will let you know if I can make it at the last moments notice.

    not sure about spnosers

I doubt anyone wants to spend much time doing that, we'll see. Depends on how many come too. I would write it off no matter what, who the hell knows. So the 6th of Aug is better so far?

    Hmm Issues......

Since I may not make it may I make a couple of suggestions?
At the beginning of the "meeting", be sure to time the allowable three minutes of superheat, subcooling and other technical discussions.
Anyone found is serious heated technical discussions following said timing session shall be responsible to buy one beer for anyone within hearing distance.
Following infractions should be enforced with the infractor purchasing a round for the entire party.
Anyone discussing technical issues at the nudie bar?

I'll bring a piece of equipment for display and point to it now and then so I too can charge the trip as a business expense. Thanks for the idea.

Dice, I will need a 240v line to your yard.

What, you mean we can't trust someone who speaks like a girl singing beat it while wearing one glove?
