Trap or not ?

I am piping in a split system, not sure of size yet dont have equipment, i was told to run 3/8 and 1 1/8 from first floor to roof, from coil on furnace run length is approximately 45' going in this pattern verticle 5' horizontal 15' vertical 11' horzontal 8' then vertical 5' through roof.


I thought as long as condenser was higher than evap , then a trap at coil and reverse trap on roof was needed. I asked and was told it didnt need it, cant this cause lack of oil to return to comp and cause oil build up in evap
