    Discharge Line Temperature?

I've always known that a refrigerant overcharge will result in a cooler discharge line temperature. My question is why does this happen and is it affected much by the type of metering device?

Because of the cooler gas coming back, It would show quicker on a Piston than a TXV but either will lower discharge temperature

    Undercharge will increase discharge temps

We have a sub contractor my boss uses extensively that doesn't understand sub cool/super heat so I have to go behind him all the time and find out whats going on. Fastest way to check, have the customer keep the unit off till I get there :-) After that I just go down the list.
