YCAL HPCO
Does anyone know whether or not the HPCO has a shrader under it on a YCAL?

It should have one in there but in the past I have said the same thing and found none , most likely its there.

Isn't there an ASHRAE standard or rule that states there can't be any shut off device on an HPCO? And I think it includes schraders too. Most (if not all) of the recips and screws I've worked on haven't had one unless someone added one. And usually it's a flare fitting that you can't put a core in anyway. I'd be very careful and at least isolate the discharge line and get the pressure down a little.

The switch that he is refering to is barrel style with a depressor inside of it female flare to male flare upon removal of the switch you will lose a small amount of freon if your quick but that it other wise there is no other way to replace unless you take all the freon out there is no other way to isolate to replace.
